Was hit Monday night with a surprise cold virus that ruined what was supposed to be my holiday day off and has left me couch-ridden since. Not that this is Le Feu Follet, and by no means are my spirits quite that low. Still. Gutted as fuck? Still am. Cheering myself with all the things arriving in the post that I erroneously ordered before I knew quite how financially ruined I'm about to be, wherever I end up.

Granted, it's no Damien Hirst (curse you higher-profile artist what Noel Fielding digs going and stealing my thunder by opening THE SAME DAY AS ME, FUCK) but I have a bunch of pieces hanging up on walls, in public, this month.

Here are some things I've been up to lately.

It took like a month from concept to final brushstroke and turned out WAY schmoopier than I'd originally intended, but here's a new painting anyway:

Well, that last post certainly was interesting. Glad to see that nobody felt like punching me in the mouth. This is nice. I don't like being punched.

Also I fucking loved this Doctor Who serial with the crazy insect people planet. It was artsy and weird and I haven't stopped yammering on about it for weeks. HAVE NOT STOPPED YAMMERING.

New artings. I've had this idea in my head for ages now, and finally got the paper and glue stick (and time and motivation) to make it happen. Yippee! As it happens, I'm also chuffed to bits with the way it turned out.

Dan and Jones take Peanut on a summer holiday someplace with a beach. I expect Jones probably got a gig out of it in the nighttimes/wee hours of the morning, while Dan and Peanut doze quietly, and then they go for a picnic on a quiet bit of sand the next day, even though Dan hates navigating the beach with his stupid fucking cane.
